FRI 5/9      CNJM Monthly Gathering

8:30 PM     Howard Young is an independent researcher into the origins of human civilization and the human race. His research has led him to question conventional wisdom in a range of academic fields. He will tell us about the evidence of a comet which crashed into the earth 12,900 years ago, near where North Carolina is now, and the massive impact it had on global warming. What are the chances of another comet?

3:00PM     Lehigh Pocano Mensa invites us to join them at this regular event. Hostess, Ellen Shaffer, assures us that the view and the drive are worth the trip. Forget the usual Sunday brunch, sleep a bit later, and join your neighboring Mensans for delectable Italian food at Ristorante Il Porto on the Lake Mohawk Boardwalk in Sparta NJ. BYOB. Dress is semi-casual; nice jeans are OK, but no T-shirts.               

Calendar editor’s note: John and I joined Ellen and friends for Easter dinner and we agree that the view is worth the trip (the food and company weren’t bad either!). It was less than an hour drive from Bridgewater.
